D1. Arrive Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, which is well known for its hot and spicy food, and the national treasure--Grand Panda. Meet at airport and transfer to your hotel.
D2. Chengdu / Songpan
Drive to Songpan from Chengdu, a Tibetan town. On the way, we will sightsee in the river valley Minjiang and the ancient town of Songpan and experience the folk customs and living habits of the Tibetans and Qiang Ethnic Group. Stay in a Tibetan-style 2 star hotel in Songpan.
D3. Songpan / Huanglong
Drive to Huanglong (Yellow Dragon), situated in the north-west of Sichuan Province, the Huanglong valley is made up of snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. In addition to its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be found, as well as spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. The area also has a population of endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey. Hiking and sightseeing for a whole day, then drive to Jiuzhaigou to stay in a 3 star hotel.
D4. Jiuzhaigou
Hiking and sightseeing inside Jiuzhaigou for a whole day. Jiuzhaigou means Nine Village Valley, it is also a World Nature Heritage, and many travelers think it is the most beautiful scenery in China. Jiuzhaigou is located in the north of Sichuan Province and is known far and wide as "a fairyland." The name Jiuzhaigou came from nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the valley. Its attraction lies in its simple, idyllic beauty; a fairyland, primitive and natural and still in its pristine state. With majestic and unrivalled emerald lakes, layered waterfalls, colorful forests, snow peaks and Tibetan folk villages, all blending in harmony with each other - it is nature's jewel set into the mountains..
D5. Jiuzhaigou / Maoxian
Continue sightseeing inside Jiuzhaigou. Jiuzhaigou lies in a transitional area where northern and southern flora and fauna meet. A natural botanical and zoological garden, it is a home of densely growing conifers and broadleaf trees, and of rare and endangered animal species such as the giant panda, golden monkey, and white-lip deer. Recently, UNESCO has recognized the Dujiangyan Dam as a world cultural heritage site. After lunch, drive back to Maoxian County and overnight at a 3 star hotel.
D6 Maoxian / Chengdu
Drive back to Chengdu, on the way, we will visit the Dujiangyan Dam, which is built 2250 years ago, is the oldest water conservation project and still functioning irrigation scheme in the world. It is also a World Culture Heritage .
D7 Chengdu
Sightseeing in Chengdu, including visit the zoo to see the grand panda, Thatched Cottage of Du Fu; The thatched cottage of the famous Tang dynasty poet Du Fu (712-770AD) lies at the side of the Flower Washing Brook in west Chengdu. In 759, due to the poverty and social upheavals in his home province of Gansu, Du Fu moved to the outskirts of Chengdu; where he built the thatched hut on 44 hectares of land and settled down to write. During his stay of nearly 4 years, he composed more than 240 poems many reflecting his enlightened views on the poverty and misery experienced by the people. The original residence disappeared long ago and over the centuries the commemorative shrine to the poet has developed within a pleasant park. Some buildings date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties and include the poetic history hall, the thatched entrance, Gongbuci Temple and the Shaoling Stone Monument. And in the dinner taste some famous Chengdu snacks.
D8 Chengdu / Leshan
Drive from Chengdu to Leshan, visit the Great Buddha, which is the largest stone Buddha in the world, it is also a World Culture Heritage. Leshan Giant Buddha is one of the most magnificent tourist attractions in Sichuan Province. It's located on the West side of Xiluan Peak (Phoenix Perched Peak) of Mount Lingyun, just east of Leshan City. Overlooking the confluence of the Minjiang, Qingyi and Dadu rivers, the Buddha is carved into the cliffs of Mt. Lingyun. A local say ing describes the Buddha like this: "The Mountain unveils a Buddha, while the Buddha fades into the mountain." The huge figure takes the shape of a Maitreya Buddha, a disciple of Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. The figure occupies the entire hillside. Its head reaches the top of the cliffs, his hands rest on his knees and his face has a serene expression as it gazes at Leshan city across the river which rushes past its feet. Looking solemn and stately, the Buddha is 71 meters high. His shoulders are 28 meters wide, head 14.7 metes long and 10 meters broad, with a total of 1021 chignons of hair clustered on it. Each is as big as a round table. Its drooping ear is 6.2 meters long, its eye 3.3 meters wide. Its middle finger is 8.3 meters long, and each of its bare feet is 11 meters long and 8.5 meters wide, large enough for more than 100 people to sit on. After that, drive to Ermei and overnight there.
D9 Leshan / Chengdu
Ermei Mountain lies seven kilometers southwest of Emeishan City and is one of the four mountain ranges in China that Buddhists consider sacred. The mountain stretches more than 200 kilometers from south to north. Its main peak, Wanfo Top, is 3,099 meters above sea level. Since ancient times Ermei Mountain has been described as "Beauty under Heaven." Take cable car go to the Golden Summit, enjoy the sun rising, cloud sea and the magic Buddhist light, then cable car down and visit Baoguosi Temple which sits at the foot of the mountain at the entrance and exit of the mountain area. The temple was built during the reign of Ming Emperor Wanli (1573-1620). About 15 kilometers from the Baoguo Temple is Wannian Temple, one of the main temples in the mountain area. Wannian Temple, or the Temple of Samantabhadra as it was known before the Ming Dynasty, was built during the reign of Emperor Long'an of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (397-401). Then drive back to Chengdu.

After a relaxed breakfast in your hotel, transfer to airport and see you off.
