Day01.Arrival Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be met by our guide and escorted to your hotel. Relax in the hotel to recover from the jet lag or you may like to explore the city on your own. We suggest that you visit Wangfujing Street, the busiest shopping center of Beijing.
Day02. Beijing/Urumchi
After breakfast you will visit Forbidden Cit y-one of the well kept secrets of Imperial China. In the afternoon you will be transferred to airport for flight to Urumchi. Arrive in Urumchi, the capital of Xinjiang, meet at airport and transfer to hotel.
Day03. Urumchi/Turpan
Morning visit to Heavenly Lake where meet Kazak nomads and visit their yurts, after lunch drive back to the city and make an excursion to Region Museum . A two hours drive will take you to Turpan city named the "Fiery Land", one of the lowest places on earth, a remote oasis in a scorching desert. Visit the Karez underground irrigation system. In the evening watch traditional Uighur dances under the famous grape trellises of Turpan.
Day04. Turpan/Dunhuang
Today's activities take you to Emin Minaret and the mysterious Gaochang ruins, which reveal traces of a prosperous ancient trading center and military stronghold. Later stop by the Astana Tombs , the burial ground for the nobles of ancient kingdoms, and the B ezaklik Caves . Turpan is famous throughout China for its big and sweet grapes. The visit to the Grape Valley and the homes of Uighur farmers is an extraordinary experience. Take an overnight train ride to Dunhuang.
Day05. Dunhuang
On arrival at Liuyuan (Dunhuang Train Station), transfer to the Gansu Desert oasis town of Dunhuang, an important center of ancient Buddhist art and home of the Mogao Caves and their grottos filled with art treasures. In the morning, visit the Mogao Grottos , an archaeological treasure trove of 10 centuries of wall paintings and Buddhist texts in Chinese, Tibetan and Central Asian languages. This afternoon, visit the scenic Singing Sand Dunes , called by Marco Polo the ˇ°rumbling sands,ˇ± and the Crescent Moon Lake .
Day06. Dunhuang/Xi`an
Take a morning flight to Xian, the starting point of the Silk Road and once the capital of ancient China for eleven dynasties. Check into your hotel, then off to visit the Historical Museum . The local specialty Dumpling Dinner is served in the evening
Day07. Xi`an
Whole day tour to the Museum of Qin Terra cotta Warriors and Horses , the Banpo Village Remains and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda . Visit the City Wall and the Great Mosque . The Tang Dynasty Dinner Show is served in the evening.
Day08. Xian/Exit
Transfer to the airport. Tour ends.
